At home I lie down with an ice pack on my head, contemplating what had happened. I feel humbled and humiliated by the big impact that just a bit of fear can have on the outcome of events. At a glance you could argue that only minor mistakes were made. We shot the video, even though I notified the gym a bit too late the resistance that came up was addressed politely, and I almost lifted a badass weight. But if you look deeper and when I become more honest with myself we can see that there are some deep-rooted patterns at work.
The 100 Day Warrior II has come to an conclusion. The second group was tougher for me than the first group. There were quite a few challenging moments. Sometimes I have doubted my capabilities and I had concerns about our progress. But then the magic happened and everything feel into place. During our last ceremony there were no walls, no barriers and no fear. Everybody was connected, open and present. We entered the process as strangers, we came out as friends. Everybody had changed on the inside and on the outside. To ignite such a process and witness the outcome fills me with gratitude.
During the 100 Day Warrior the invitation is to explore the space beyond our comfort zones. The easiest way is to surrender to the program and let the experience unfold. But this is usually not how most of us are wired. We are filled with opinions, expectations and beliefs. So we question and negotiate. The interesting part is to explore why we question and negotiate. We fear influence and negative experiences, we fear what we do not know.
Over the past two weeks the participants in the 100 Day Warrior program have been making a solid attempt to “reset” their bodies through a diet plan. As a true foodie I have been experimenting with different types of diets and food ideologies throughout my life, making many mistakes and learning many lessons. In this post I would love to share some of my insights and show you what I believe is a healthy path towards soulful eating, by eating real food and listening to your body. This might be interesting for my fellow participants, and for anyone who’s curious how to implement a healthy take on eating into their busy lives.
Every year my first post of the year contains the exercise that I will show you once again. I take a deep breath and start writing down the dreams and intentions that flow from my heart for 5 minutes, without thinking, without rehearsing and without editing afterwards. Afterwards I often peak at last years post and see if there were dreams that came true and dreams that stayed unfulfilled.
I asked a handful of people from the creative industry to send me questions that they would like to be answered by the participants of the 100 Day Warrior. Out of approximately 30 questions I selected 13 that seem to cover most of the curiosity of most followers. Sanne went first, Esther was the second to answer them, […]
I asked a handful of people from the creative industry to send me questions that they would like to be answered by the participants of the 100 Day Warrior. Out of approximately 30 questions I selected 13 that seem to cover most of the curiosity of most followers. Sanne went first, Esther was the second to answer them, then came Tommy and Arent. But now let’s hear what Pirke has to say.
I really don’t know what to think of reincarnation. Intuitively I believe in it, rationally I can’t get my head around the idea. But I know that the rational mind is limited and I also know that my intuition hasn’t fully matured yet. I’ve had experiences in meditation that felt like glimpses of past lives […]
Because, you see, the alarming fact is that any realization of depth carries a terrible burden: those who are allowed to see are simultaneously saddled with the obligation to communicate that vision in no uncertain terms: that is the bargain. You were allowed to see the truth under the agreement that you would communicate it to others (that is the ultimate meaning of the Bodhisattva vow). And therefore, if you have seen, you simply must speak out. Speak out with compassion, or speak out with angry wisdom, or speak out with skillful means, but speak out you must.
